Remodel/ New Construction/ Retail

This was a very ambitious project that required demolishing 100% of the site and 95% of the existing structure, leaving only three walls standing, which were increased 8 ft. in height for the essentially new 15,857 s.f. building. In the period of time bookended by the close of the 2012 ski season and the opening of the 2013 ski season, Deneuve completed the job in the remaining five months after the extensive two month demolition, still maintaining the high quality they always strive to give clientele. The stairway exemplifies creative contemporary architecture with a combination of wood, steel, concrete, and a pliable transparent grid structure of stainless steel rope, manufactured in Switzerland since 1904, to create an elegant spatial design element. All tasks revolved around a timely completion with Deneuve working in the midst of a 500 year flood, and vendors from around the world staging the latest advances in ski equipment, snowboards, accessories, and outerwear to stock this state-of-the-art facility.
