Our Team

Philip Shull, President

Deneuve’s inquisitive founder has been interested in the way buildings are designed and subsequently assembled since his formative years. After a degree in Psychology at CU, he began building restaurants for the ‘founders’ of the Boulder scene back in the 70’s and quickly, Deneuve Construction was born. With his keen eye for building details, he has developed a reputation of quality construction and design in Boulder and within the 14 states that Deneuve has worked. Phil’s esteemed reputation is not only as a general contractor, but also as a Civic Leader with his endless hours of pro bono participation over the years through the City Planning board, Central Area Improvement District, Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Management Commission and the Boulder Urban Renewal Authority, and currently on the Chautauqua board, just to name a few. Deneuve has thrived under his direction and vision, and he continues to lead the company through the ever evolving maze that is the construction industry.

David Garabed, Vice President

David came to Deneuve in 2004 with extensive experience in preconstruction, estimating, development management, and design-build. He has a BS in Architectural Engineering and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He has been involved in a wide range of construction projects including library, office, live/work, retail, medical, mixed-use, multifamily, affordable housing, museum, education, light industrial, restaurant, recreation, theater, and historic renovation. When he isn’t crunching numbers, he skis, bikes, fishes, plays hockey, and works on home improvement projects, which always come in over budget and behind schedule.

Steve Davis, Controller

Hailing from the Hudson Valley in New York, Steve received his BS in Finance and Accounting from Fairfield University in Connecticut. After moving around the country, he landed in Denver where he continued his accounting career in a CPA firm specializing in construction. He has served the construction industry in Colorado for over three decades as Controller, HR Director, and Chief Financial Officer. When not working, Steve and his wife enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, and exploring Colorado for all it has to offer.

William Bohner, Sr. Project Manager

Will is one of the original “Deneuvians” and has been with Deneuve for most of the 46 years in business. He is steady as you go, and was often the one who put all the “fires” out for the company. With a BA in English Literature and years of construction management and estimating, he can definitely communicate effectively on detailed pricing and technical construction issues, especially when it comes to discrepancies on the job. Quality control and attention to the detail of the finished product is an area where Will takes pride and where years of experience pay off. As an avid yoga practitioner, he stays fit, healthy, and centered for all the stresses of his job.

Chris Kervan, Estimator

Originally from Virginia, Chris graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Structural Engineering and has since worked with both construction and design companies. He now uses his diverse work experiences to be an effective estimator. The draw of the Rockies brought him to Boulder, and he is excited to see buildings go up around town as a result of his efforts. Outside of work, Chris will most likely be found enjoying an outdoor adventure in the mountains with his wife and friends, or in the garage tinkering on a new woodworking project.

Marty Johnson, Estimator

A Pennsylvania native, Marty’s fascination with construction came at an early age, and most recently has been very diverse. After graduating with a BS in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2012, he spent a couple of years working with heavy civil and residential contractors, along with performing small remodels and handyman projects on the side. After spending a summer working maintenance on a ranch in Durango, Colorado, he was lucky to find a home with Deneuve as an Estimator. With an engineering background and construction experience, he is focused on Deneuve’s promise to excellence and client satisfaction. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, biking and camping. He is most talented at spending money on tools and procrastinating on personal repair projects.

Dina Hotovec, Project Coordinator & Accounts Payable

The consummate ‘Girl Friday’ that has done it all, Dina takes care of business.  A stay at home mom to her two daughters for years, when forced to return to work, she chose the temp agency route for flexibility and autonomy, and luckily for Deneuve, she landed in our office and is here to stay.  Over the years as a temp, she has acquired a vastly varied set of skills and experience and has proven to be an asset to our company.  She is the most reliable, competent, and trustworthy person around.  If you need anything researched, found, or calculated, she is more than willing to help in any way possible.

Christine Kimura, Project Coordinator

Christine worked in the non-profit educational world for many years heading the accounting department. She also had a psychotherapy practice for 10 years, treating young adults while managing the BookEnd Cafe for over a decade. She holds a bachelor degree in Health Sciences from the California State University, Fresno and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College. She loves organization and would love to have Deneuve totally organized.

Deborah Fahr, Accounting/Administrative Assistant

Deborah has lived in Colorado for a “lifetime”, although her roots were birthed on the East coast. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder, she was still so smitten with the uniqueness of this college mountain town, that it was officially claimed as home. For a few decades to follow, she became entrenched in the Printing/Marketing Industry, quite by happenstance. Heartily welcomed to Deneuve as accounting/administrative support staff, Deborah is enjoying the opportunity to help keep internal office projects flowing smoothly. In real life, Deborah appreciates the big three – family, friends and church. She does yearn on occasion for times happily spent on a sunny beach (pretty much anywhere) and “Jeeping”.

Pablo Saucedo Jr., Office Engineer

Pablo has been busy working since he was 17 years old. He worked for 9 years doing drafting for a glass company, and whenever he could, worked for Deneuve as a laborer. His experience with floor plans and CNC programming along with his natural abilities and intellect gave him the background for his current job as an Office Engineer. He is married with a daughter and enjoys his immediate family, but also his very close extended family who are all located here in Colorado.

Chris Morgan, Project Engineer

Originally from Virginia, Chris moved to Colorado after graduating from East Carolina University. He received a BS in Design with a double concentration in Architectural & Mechanical Technology, as well as a Business minor from the College of Engineering and Technology. He has been involved in a number of projects in the manufacturing sector and would like to turn his focus to the construction industry. Chris enjoys working out, sporting events, concerts, and most outdoor activities.

Alex Fleming, Project Engineer

Uprooted from Dallas, Texas, Alex relocated to Denver with his wife Hannah and their son, Cooper, in 2016. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2008. After working in the oil and gas industry primarily in manufacturing and design, Alex accepted a full time position with Denenve as a Project Engineer. His focus and exposure to all the facets and phases of the construction industry has been an excellent and mutually educational career transition. When not on-site, Alex enjoys spending his free time with his family, taking advantage of the temperate Colorado climate and healthy lifestyle with a multitude of outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, snowboarding and off road trail driving.

Jonathan Ernster, Project Engineer

Jon is an actual Colorado native; rare breed. Sticking close to his roots, he graduated from CU Boulder earning a BS degree in Civil Engineering, with heavy concentration on Construction Management. His work experience has focused on remediation, heavy civil, design projects and philanthropy work. As a well organized, enthusiastic Project Engineer with Deneuve, he has set his sights on eventually transitioning into a Project Manager position. Currently a Denver city dweller, Jon fills his free time reading, enjoying outdoor sports, and traveling abroad. When he’s not working, or adventuring, he’s practicing yoga, taking dance lessons ( much to his girlfriend’s joy ) and learning Spanish. Not much down time, really. He’s always striving to learn something new!

Project Manager, Gerald Harris

Gerald describes himself as a seasoned professional.  While most of his 30 years experience in the building industry has been with General Contractors, he has also contributed to the success of subcontractors as a Project Manager and with suppliers as Sales Manager.  His diverse experience has developed his keen understanding of design practices, supply chains, and the various methods of project delivery, as well as the successful interplay among those.  He is capable with ground-up projects, tenant build-outs, and historical renovations for commercial, healthcare, multi-occupancy residential, and educational facilities and is completely committed to client satisfaction.  He studied business administration and communication at the University of Colorado and is certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Quality Control Manager and lives in Denver with two playful Jack Russells.

Project Manager, Erik Brandon

Erik came to Deneuve with 23 years of commercial construction experience and has significant skills supported by US Green Building Council Leadership in Energy Efficient Design Accredited Professional designation; ABC Excellence Award (Associated Builders and Contractors); and a nomination for Superintendent of the year from the American Subcontractors Association.  He has been building projects in the Denver metro area for the last 19 years and lives in the mountains with his three daughters.  In his spare moments, he spends time outdoors teaching his girls, fishing or hunting, or at home cooking up great meals.

Project Manager, Jeff Graybill

Jeff is a Philadelphia native and a graduate from Drexel University in Architectural Engineering and Construction Management. He acquired his construction experience with a national GC in the city specializing in retirement communities and then with the Philadelphia Housing Authority building multi-family, mixed used developments, with a focus on energy efficiency and LEED requirements. His itch to head West for a change of scenery and lifestyle brought him to Colorado with his fiance, who was pursuing a Masters in Art Therapy at Naropa. After working with a national luxury single family home builder, Jeff missed the culture and challenges of commercial construction and he luckily (for us) found his way to Deneuve. He spends his time outside of work skiing, hiking, biking, gardening, and collecting old vinyl records.

Project Manager, Eric Reiner

Eric joined Deneuve bringing with him 24 years of commercial construction experience. A graduate from Colorado State University with a BS degree in Construction Management, he has an extremely diverse portfolio of project types. To list a few accomplished categories: Hotel/Resorts, Casinos, Healthcare Facilities, Cleanrooms, Schools, Airports, Civil/Infrastructure, Multi-Family, Senior Care and the Department of Defense. When not managing contracts, budgets and schedules; Eric enjoys the “ocean views” indulging in offshore fishing, cycling, scuba diving and tropical travel.

Project Manager, Clément Garcia

Clément (French pronunciation: “clay-mahn”) was born and raised in the Provence region of the South of France. He came to the United States at age sixteen, moving in with a family in Denver as an exchange high school student, where he was able to learn the language and culture in an intense and fully immersed living environment. He continued his education in the States, and graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, studying Construction Management. As a LEED Green Associate, Clément is passionate about sustainability and its applications to the commercial construction world. His strong organizational skills, motivation and positive attitude have helped Clément excel as an up-and-coming Project Manager in this competitive industry. Deneuve was fortunate to incorporate him into our constantly expanding project base, and are vastly benefiting from his diverse experience, talents and visionary insights. This French native, now married, is happily transplanted in a convenient Boulder suburb, far from the waving lavender fields of his homeland. When Clément is not in the office you can find him playing with one of his favorite toys: his skis, his skateboard or his mountain bike.

Site Superintendent, Pablo Saucedo

Pablo came to Deneuve in 1994 with some college education in Engineering, and an associate degree in Internal Combustion Engines. He started as a laborer, and worked hard and showed such an interest and enthusiasm about construction, the Superintendents trained him to be a Carpenter, after which, he quickly learned about all the trades and was soon running small jobs and a Superintendent himself. Currently, he is one of Deneuve’s most reliable and competent superintendents. He has been involved in residential and commercial projects including grocery stores, luxury town homes, apartment buildings, banks, restaurants, recreation, retail, historic renovation and automotive shops. When he isn’t supervising for Deneuve, he works on home projects, helps friends with their endless small home projects (that his wife so generously volunteers him for) and attends his two son’s soccer games.

Site Superintendent, Rich DiPasquale

Richard was born and raised in South Florida and completed a four year program to become a Journeyman Carpenter. Twenty-two years ago he moved to Broomfield Colorado to pursue a better life and has no plans to leave. The last 19 years were spent as a Construction Superintendent/Manager for a high quality single family and multi-family housing project. He loves the outdoor Colorado life and hikes and bikes in the summer and skis in the winter with Patty, his wife of 39 years and would love nothing better than to live his life out in gorgeous Colorado.

Site Superintendent, Jay Pezoldt

Jay is one of those rare breeds lucky enough to claim being a Colorado Native, specifically from the mountainous Front Range. He attended Colorado State University and graduated with a degree in Natural Resource Management in 1997. He worked as a Wilderness Ranger for the Forest Service, building trails and bridges in the summertime and Ski Patrolling at Copper Mountain in the winters. He then turned his sights toward year round construction. He has worked as a trim carpenter, framer, and as a Field Superintendent where he developed his knowledge of the industry through construction management. Jay has been a Superintendent since 2006 and has managed 14 story hotels, student housing, historical renovations, and many multifamily projects, from North Carolina and West Virginia, to Colorado. He resides in Boulder County with his wife and son.

Site Superintendent, Jim Deitchler

Jim is excited to join Deneuve’s growing team. With over 32 years experience as a job site superintendent, Jim has built projects in 7 states on sites as diverse as a 5 story building for Marquette University to a stream bridge, leading to the entrance of John Denver’s Ranch in Colorado. Jim enjoys bringing owner’s dreams to successful completion. His educational roots began at Oklahoma State University and CSU where he primarily studied Geology and project management. In his energetic youth, as an outdoors enthusiast, Jim was a backpacking instructor in Rocky Mountain National Park. He is an avid hiker of Colorado’s 14-ers, and enjoys snow skiing, river rafting, bicycling, camping and hanging out in fire lookouts. Music and movies are also his more relaxing pastimes.

Site Superintendent, Jim Shope

Originally from Arizona, Jim left to serve in the Navy for three years following high school. After his service, he landed in Texas where he began building high rises and earned his Master Carpenter’s Certification. With his wife and daughter, he relocated to sunny Colorado and has expanded his varied skills working in an Supervisory capacity for 27 years, with such projects as Arrabelle Resort in Vail Colorado and the Hyatt Convention Center Hotel in downtown Denver under his belt, as well as building bridges, waste treatment plants and many commercial office and loft spaces.  He loves the diverse challenges of each and every project which always keeps him wanting more. Jim knows how to balance his work load with real life finding relaxation in Mini Cooper card club rides with his wife, fishing, playing tournament style Texas Holdem Poker, and taking Cruise adventures as often as his schedule allows. In between project demands, of course.

Site Superintendent, Ken Lindow

The youngest of 6 siblings, Ken was born and raised in the Mid-West. An avid outdoorsman, his accomplished athletic talents brought him to the University of Colorado where he ran Track, while pursuing his Engineering degree. Upon graduation Ken became immersed in the construction industry working in North Carolina, Kansas, California, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii and Guam. A few of his more locally familiar projects include: Ameristar Casino Hotel in Blackhawk, R.E.I. Downtown Denver, Elitch Gardens, Ocean Journey and the Denver Convention Center.  As a Site Supervisor, Ken is highly motivated by collaborating with his Team in an honest effort to keep their project deadlines tight, and budgets on track. When off site Ken is participating in seasonal sports ranging from softball to skiing. Traveling with his partner, Marie, is also an important time of relaxation. His greatest pride, however, are his two daughters. And he just became a grandfather!
