Alfalfa’s Market

Boulder, CO - Remodel/Retail/Grocer

This project entailed the full renovation of an existing group of buildings of differing ages, the oldest being built in circa 1890, totaling 43,000 sq. ft. These buildings were gutted to the existing structure and remodeled into a state of the art grocery store and corporate offices.

The new store interior work included, in addition to the upscale retail areas, a sushi bar, bakery, coffee bar/juice bar, prepared hot foods bar with a wood fire pizza oven bar, a dining pavilion with stone fireplace, a commercial kitchen, a demonstration cooking area, and separate corporate and store office areas. New mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were added to all areas.

The exterior of the store work included, but was not limited to, the restoration of the existing building facades, the construction of two building additions, a covered entry, an enclosed/roofed dock structure, a covered outdoor patio area, reroofing the store, new site utilities, parking lot paving, site concrete and landscaping areas. Deneuve completed this project on schedule and under budget, with Alfalfaís Market opening on Earth Day 2011.
